You Keep Quiet

I haven’t written in this thingy for awhile.  I’m not so good at keeping up with it I spose.  Plus when I come back and re-read whatever I wrote in the past blogs I feel somewhat embarassed.  It’s really kind of weird.  It somewhat reminds me of highschool.  I use to keep a little poem book and would write the most lame, depressing, melodramatic crap.  Then months later I would go back and read it and would be so paranoid that someone might find it and think what a freak I was that I would burn the pages.  Well, this is not quite at that level, but it somehow reminded me of that.  I haven’t even written anything that “deep” or personal here so I dunno what I’m sweatin’.  Or maybe I just did?  <insert surprised emoticon face here>

Oh, job update.  I’m now fully employed at a government contracting company.  It’s a nice place.  My supervisor is awesome.  I’m glad to be there.

 What else… oh yeah, Happy Holidays and all that.  Seems like those are way behind us now, but they were pretty nice.  My cousin, Kosti, and my uncle, Naso, were here from Greece.  Last time I saw them was about 11 years ago.  My dad and I took them to Atlantic City after Xmas.  Kosti was kind enough to let me gamble away a nice chunk of his money, so *I* had a pretty good time.  I entered a poker tournament of 100 people and ended up in 42nd place.  Hey, that’s better than half!  And I was like 1 out of 5 women in the whole damn thing.  Then the next night back in MD a bunch of the sisters and I took him out for his last night in America.

I believe Jim and I have picked a date, however, it is not official yet so I’ll let you know for sure once we do.  I’ve started browsing Bride and Bridesmaid dresses and have a few ideas for the style I’m interested in.  I’m startin’ to get exciiiiiIIIiiiTED! hehe.

Soooooooo my lovely boo popped the question on Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving).  I responded with lots of “OH MY GOD!!  SHUT UP!!!!!  REALLY!!!!!!!!!??  OH MY GOD!!!!” until he finally snapped me out of it and asked “Well, will you??”.  Of course I said YES!!!!!!!!  I’m gonna go ahead and embarass Jim and show you all how he asked me.  He told me he made a new website and sent me an email saying “Cool Website” CLICK HERE.  He was on his knees next to me while I was going through the site then towards the end of it he shifted to one knee and pulled something out of his pocket.  NOOooOOoo not that, the ring, sillies!  It’s gorge.  The man has good taste.  We’re hoping for a Fall ‘08 wedding.  I’ll be sure to keep you all posted and maybe you can help me decide on some of the details for the special day.

 Eww, looks like I need to start applying more lotion.  Anyway, catch you later.   

So, you all may be thinking that because of the way I ended the previous post and the title of this post being “#2″ that I might end up discussing something gross; however, the title refers to this being my second post.  I took a few moments yesterday innocently searching the web about why dogs eat what they do and I ended up accidentally finding out information about #2 in other contexts that made me quite nauseous so I don’t want to talk about it!  Moving on… 

I am now officially affiliated with Long & Foster and I will be working out of the Falls Grove branch in Rockville as a Real Estate Salesperson.  Yay!  Lets do lunch!  You will all soon be getting emails from me reminding you of this so that you don’t forget to tell all your friends, family, and complete strangers.  Hopefully, the next time I see any of you I will have gotten my cards so please ask me for one.

Ah, well, as I’m sure most of you know, being a realtor means having an unstable income.  That being the case please know that I am open and available for part-time gigs doing… whatever…  but mostly photography (anyone need holiday portraits???!) but, keep me in mind if you need a temporary task like dog/cat sitting.
